For the discerning traveller, this 11 day itinerary offers some of the absolute best of Southern Africa in one expertly-designed trip. Starting and finishing at Johannesburg Airport, all you need to do is add your international flight to and from Africa and we’ll take care of you from arrival to departure.

Your adventure begins in Timbavati Private Nature Reserve bordering Kruger National Park, staying at the spectacular RockFig Safari Lodge. Activities including daytime safaris, guided night game drives, bush walks, and excellent bird watching.

After two nights, you’ll fly on to the “Mother City” for four nights in Cape Town at the Radisson Red hotel. Experience the best of the city on a full day guided tour. The next day, you’ll explore Franschhoek on the Wine Tram, stopping in at some of South Africa’s oldest and most distinguished wine estates. You will have plenty of time to taste wine, chocolate and craft beer too and to visit Stellenbosch on the way back. End your time in Cape Town with whale watching from Hermanus (depending on season).

From Cape Town, you’ll fly to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe for two nights at Ilala Lodge; relax in the afternoon and enjoy a sunset cruise in the evening. The next day you’ll have a guided tour of the falls with the option of an unforgettable scenic helicopter flight. An historical bridge tour follows, and the day ends with dinner at the legendary Boma restaurant.

Your third and final country is Botswana. After a road transfer you will arrive in Kasane on the banks of the famous Chobe River. Staying at the Pangolin Chobe hotel for two nights, you can take advantage of the unique photo safaris on offer to get those perfect souvenir shots. And don’t worry about having sub-standard equipment or skills – cameras, lenses and tuition by a resident photo host are included!

Day 1 – 2

On arrival at OR Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg, make your way to domestic departures for your scheduled flight to Hoedpsruit

Day 4

Breakfast at the hotel.
Be met by your local guide in the lobby of the hotel and depart on a full day Tour.

In the morning, begin your panoramic city tour of Cape Town, showcasing the scenic and historic highlights of this vibrant city. Weather permitting, ascend by cable car to the top of Table Mountain, Cape Town’s most striking landmark. Proceed to the country’s oldest building, the Castle of Good Hope, an imposing 17th century Dutch fort set against the dramatic backdrop of Table Mountain. Later, drive past secluded coves, beautiful beach towns and spectacular mountain scenery. Stop at famous Chapman’s Peak. Enter the nature reserve that covers the southern part of the Peninsula, and drive through the unique scenery towards Cape Point. Travel by funicular railway to Cape Point where you can take in stunning views of the Cape of Good Hope. Later, make a brief stop to visit the African jackass penguins at Boulders Beach. Note: If Table Mountain is inaccessible, the visit will be replaced with Signal Hill

Be met by your guide in the lobby of the hotel and depart to Franschhoek. (Drive time is +/- 1 hour)
On arrival the guest will take the Franschhoek Wine Tram which is a hop-on hop-off tour. One of the best ways to discover the true essence of the Franschhoek Valley – picturesque vineyards, breath-taking scenery, warm hospitality, world-class cuisine, fine wines and a 300-year history.

Passengers aboard the hop-on hop-off tour will experience a unique and leisurely way to see the Franschhoek Valley as they journey through rolling vineyards in a vintage style railway tram and open-air tram-bus stopping in at some of South Africa’s oldest and most distinguished wine estates.

A combination of tram and tram-bus transports passengers around a loop of stops allowing them to hop-off at each stop and experience the activities on offer, be it wine tasting, a cellar tour,

After lunch depart on a tour to the spice route more activities to offer: Chocolate Tasting, Craft Beer Tasting and Wine Tasting

End the day with a visit to Stellenbosch Town before returning to Cape Town.
