Your journey starts with a lengthy assessment phase where we really get to each other. If we both agree that you are ready for a trip like this, I will begin to plan the perfect adventure just for you. This will take some time, but once I have everything in place we will decide upon a departure date. Apart from this, and a few essential details, you will have no idea what to expect – apart from the excitement of the unknown.

I created the Journey Without Maps concept to try to recreate the thrill of pre-internet, pre-cellphone travel in Africa. You may face challenges and unexpected situations and need to think on your feet at times – going with the flow and letting serendipity play its part. In our modern world, spontaneity and serendipity are almost seen as risks to be avoided – but I beg to differ…
