So you’re interested in learning more about an unforgettable adventure on world’s most exciting continent. What comes next?
How I work with you to make sure you get what you want
In this article I explain the process I use when putting together life-changing African journeys for people just like you.
- Most clients find me via Google, a press article or on Facebook and their first action is to come to this website.
- Once here, and after reading what I have to offer, there are several ways to proceed: you can schedule a free 30 minute meeting with me using the calendar on the contact page, or complete the the contact at the bottom of the same page. You can also email me, message me or even pick up the phone for a chat.
- I will then send a follow-up email to give you my initial thoughts and to let you know whether I think you are a good fit for my services.
- If we go forward, I will request some more information to learn what you want to experience in more detail. Perhaps you have a particular destination or activity in mind.
- Once I have everything I need, I will put together some suggested itineraries drawing on my network of partners, friends and contacts in Africa.
- I will get back to you as soon as I have a proposal for you to look through.
- When you are ready, we can discuss the full details and I can provide approximate costings. (Wondering what a safari costs? Check out this recent article)
- We will spend some time going back and forth before you are happy with the final itinerary.
- The next step is for me to confirm all the details with my partners and for you to pay your 30% deposit to secure the trip by bank transfer to the PTS Trust Account for The Grown-up Travel Company. (Read more about how your money is always secure here)
- After that, you need to book your flights. I can help you find the best routes over Zoom, Messenger etc. or on the phone – or of course, you can do this yourself.
- Once flights are confirmed, the adventure is real!
- I will send you an email to inform you when the transfer is received and the deposit paid to my partners.
- I will also send you a form to complete with all your personal details like passport number, travel insurance policy etc. which I will need to pass on.
- Of course you can ask as many questions as you want at any time.
- The remaining balance falls due 8 weeks before departure, and in the meantime, I will send you a series of emails with advice, tips and reminders to get you ready.
When you return, I’ll be in touch to hear how it all went and yes, ask for a review! As a one-man band, my reputation is everything and all feedback is extremely valuable.
Okay, so now you know the process! The next step is up to you…
