Day 1

Welcome to Malawi. On arrival at Chileka International Airport, you will be transferred to  Huntingdon House and you  will spend your  first night here on you tour.

Huntingdon, and indeed Satemwa Estate, evokes a romantic nostalgia for Malawi’s past. By African standards, 100 years of history is seldom found. Every tea field, tree and building on this estate shares a tale and you are invited to enjoy a glimpse of a bygone era in this rapidly changing continent. The house have 5 spacious rooms. The ambition is to give all guests a unique and personal experience and an insight to the special life a Tea Estate in Africa.

In the afternoon you will have an opportunity to do a tea tasting activity at Satemwa tea factory. With a variety of over 12 types of tea you will get to experience each kind of flavour full tea.

Day 2 – 3

Today  you now head to Majete Wildlife Reserve for your unique safari in Majete Wildlife Reserve, Malawi’s only big 5 national park.  After breakfast,  you will be transferred to Thawale lodge and you are going to spend  2 nights there. Your guide will collect you in Blantyre at 8am and begin transferring you to Majete wildlife reserve , and estimated arrival will be at roughly 10:30 am enough time for you to settle in have lunch and beginning your wonderful safaris.  For  two nights you will enjoy boat safaris and two game drives, and if desired a walking safari or two.

Day 4

From Majete you head to the stunning Zomba Plateau. After breakfast you will be transferred to Zomba Forest Lodge where you will spend the next night of your tour.

Zomba Forest Lodge is a small colonial cottage nestled on the escarpment of Zomba Mountain, just within the Forest Reserve. It lies in 20 acres of mixed woodland, home to Samango and Vervet monkeys, a number of antelope and a host of birds, butterflies and flowers.

On the day of arrival you will have lunch  and a little later go for a guided walk on Zomba Plateau with your guide. You will visit the William Falls, Queens View, Empires View, Changwa Dam and Mulunguzi Falls.

Zomba being Malawi’s first capital, makes it the oldest city rich in history and culture. In the later afternoon you could pay a visit to the Zomba market and interact with the local market goers and vendors , or pay a visit to the King African rifle monument  a monument in honor of soldiers who fought World War II. All this with your knowledgeable guide.

Day 5 – 7

After breakfast, your guide will transfer you to Liwonde where the next two nights of your tour will be spent at Mvuu Camp situated right in Liwonde National Park. Your time here will be spent on boat safaris on the mighty Shire river and game drives in the  National park, which has recently  had lion reintroduced!

Day 8 – 10

Good Morning! Your adventure keeps getting better. Today, it is time to leave the Bush and head to the Beach. You will be transferred from Liwonde National Park to Cape Maclear and there after take a boat transfer to the spectacular Mumbo Island. For two nights you will be at the beautiful Lake Malawi, Malawi’s Crowning jewel. Your accommodation will be at Mumbo Island in where brilliantly blue waters filled with indigenous colorful fish that number over 700 species  which Lake Malawi is famous for.

Day 11

As the saying goes all good things come to an end and today is the end of your tour. In the morning you will be transferred to Lilongwe International Airport for your flight back home.  We hope you have had a wonderful time in Malawi and take with you fantastic memories.
