Bayview Lodge

Bayview Lodge is a superior self-catering lodge, with face brick and thatched roof beach houses. The lodge is located at Barra (Praia da Barra) on the north-eastern tip of the beautiful Barra peninsula, with an estuary behind and a l-o-n-g sandy beach in front of the lodge. It’s a place to leave your stress behind, explore the underwater wonderland on your doorstep and enjoy the night sky, far away from bright city lights.The lodge is +/- 25km from Inhambane town, in Inhambane Province in Mozambique, or +/- 485km north of Maputo, capital city of Mozambique. All bedrooms are air-conditioned and all beds have proper mosquito nets.  For guests that don’t want to cater for themselves, meals can be enjoyed in our pub/restaurant – The Green Turtle, directly ON the beach.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner served daily – will be for your account.   NO 4×4 vehicles needed to get to the lodge and guests can also fly-in daily from Johannesburg (South Africa) to Inhambane via Maputo (Mozambique).

One bedroom houses

Houses are +/- 50m from the beach, with sea views. Open plan kitchen (fully equipped), dining and lounge area, with air-conditioned bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Small safe and lockable wooden chest for valuables. Under cover patio with furniture and proper barbeque place. Serviced daily, except on Sundays and public holidays.

Two-bedroom houses

These houses are ideal for families with kids, or for friends that want to socialize together but enjoy the privacy of their own bedroom and en-suite bathroom. All houses are within 40-55m from the beach, with sea views and all bedrooms are AIR-CONDITIONED. Open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area and fully equipped for self-catering for 4-6 persons, depending on size of house. Small safe and lockable wooden chest for valuables. Covered patio with furniture and a barbeque place, as well as undercover parking next to each house.

Group House

This house is +/- 80m from the beach, with 8 x air-conditioned bedrooms – perfect for a group of friends or family that want to socialise together. DOWNSTAIRS is a large, open plan kitchen (fully equipped for 16x), dining and lounge area, with a big patio with furniture and a proper barbecue place. Small safe and lockable wooden chest for valuables. UPSTAIRS is a smaller lounge that lead out onto a balcony where you can sit, with a sea view. NOTE:Minimum of 7 guests, OR, if less, equivalent rate for 7x guests.
